108 Sun Salutations

Winter solstice is a special day of the year celebrated by many cultures because it marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Yoga studios across the world gather to practice 108 sun salutations, a series of 12 postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. The sun salutation sequence builds strength, increases flexibility and heightens intentions when set at the beginning of the practice. We will start at 6 p.m. with a silent meditation then flow through the 108 sun salutations and end with Savasana. Bring your best intentions as we welcome the light of the sun with this deep, healing practice. Class will be led by Michelle Pugh.
